A new Pokémon game titled Pokémon Scramble will be headed to WiiWare June 16th in Japan. You are basically thrown into a pit with other Pokémon and you have a free-for-all brawl. The battling seems to be similiar to that of the Mystery Dungeon series and the Pokémon models are the same as those used for My Pokémon Ranch. It will be 1500 Wii points ($15 US). It looks pretty interesting, I might pick this up if it is as awesome as it seems.

It does look extremely cool. I hope it gets translated soon, because it's out it Japan in less than two weeks.

Available Pokémon
I saw one video showing a Rattata as a starter. It looks like only the first 150+1 Pokémon are available at first; however, more regions are unlocked with more play.

Connection
The game does not appear to be compatible with any existing games, instead focusing on using Pokémon "toys" as players.

Players
Speaking of players, there can be up to four simultaneous players in cooperation. It does not appear to be Wi-Fi usable.

GRUMBLE GRUMBLE...

That would be cool if they gave you unlockable PokeMon to import, like a Surfing Pikachu, or a special starter, or a Legendary event.

As much as I love Pokemon, I can't help but feel that this is milking the series. We didn't even get Explorers of Sky yet and now they are releasing THREE of them for the Wii. Poor Cat, he's going to be broke with all these games being released

Serebii compiled a list of all the available Pokémon. Sadly, it doesn't include all of them. It includes all the Pokémon from the first and fourth generations.

Seeing Cat's stream of the game a couple of days ago, I'm excited to get a hold of an English copy and try it out, especially since I enjoyed Diablo II and this game seems very similar in style, even if it's a bit shallow. Then again, 'shallow'=!'hard', as was pretty apparent in Cat's battle versus Mewtwo.
