I've been having this error alot. It just lazily displays the remote name error (The remote name could not be resolved: "Chat.victoryroad.net")so I can't get on VRC. Everyone else says they're fine with it, but I'm forced to use site chat. Help?

According to my browser the server for chat.victoryroad.net is down a lot, and I guess VRC (or at least the version you're using) needs to connect to it.

Actually Cat helped me with this one. Sometimes you have to flush your DNS. You find Command Prompt in Accessories. If you run Vista, right click it and click run as administrator and type ipconfig/flushdns. If you run XP, Just open command prompt and type ipconfig/flushdns.

You might want to restart your computer after doing so.

The same message pops up when I try to get on the chat program, so apparently, you are not the only one having this problem.....

It's extremely annoying when I'm trying to develop the next version of the program and it does that. >_<

Anyway, I recommend doing what Guildmaster suggested.

Masterge tried it earlier, but it didn't work. I think when I had a recurring error, like this, you told me to delete the .cfg file...

Now mine is doing it. But this time, flushdns didn't work.
