I'm going to high school in September, I'm afraid of many things.
I am afraid about the following things:
- Bullies (what happen if they bully outside of school)
- Drugs
- Getting into trouble
- Fools (people who do not study and rob others education)
- Being teased
- Being pushed into the locker
High school will be the climax of my school life, because I'm going to get WAY MORE friends and get info WAY MORE troubles.
How scary is high school? I want answers from experienced people.

Interesting, people on this forum first starting high school while Cat, KingofKYA, Greenman, and I are leaving.

Anyhow, being in a magnet high school we didn't really have to deal with the stuff that regular high schools have. It shouldn't be to bad, but just know who you are dealing with. Know who to hang out with and who to avoid at all costs. And if someone is giving you trouble, let one of the teachers/administrators/school police know. You are never to old to bring justice to those who deserve it. For drugs, just say no to those that offer it and don't be tempted. As for getting in trouble, just know what the rules of the school are and don't break them (pretty simple no?). As for being teased, just ignore them. They obviously don't care for others so you shouldn't care what you have to say. And you shouldn't have to be worried about being shoved into a locker, they are small for the most part. Depending on the population of the school there should obviously be someone who noticed (and you might also have security cameras). And if all else fails, carry a stapler with you and if you need it shoot staples at their eyes, it is for self defense after all .

Yeah, for the most part is is basically like middle school but with a larger work load. Just get some friends that you can trust/have a good time with and the time will fly by. High school was definitely one of the funnest/best parts of my life (besides doing homework of course ).

Good luck

One reason of that I asked this this question is that different people had completely different descriptions

Yeah, I'm starting high school too.

HEY! YOU IN NEVADA!! DO YOU GUYS HAVE IN-N-OUT BURGERS?

'Cause I got one next to the high school I'm going to this September, in Cali. Driving off of campus and working to pay for my car insurance for the WIN, because I have time to say the whole thing rather than abbreviate.

Most schools here don't have personal lockers (Because of guns...)
they have the small PE Lockers for clothes, but you cant even fit a backpack into them...

Also, bullying is ILLEGAL here, and you can go to jail for it....

YOU GUYS ARE GONNA SEE MY NAME BELOW SATOSHI TAJIRI'S NAME ON THE 7th GEN OF POKEMON GAMES... or something...

I also want some example cases of dramas (as in middle and high school) and stereotypes and classifications of high school students.
Also, How do I avoid all dramas?

Depending on your interests, dramas can be easily avoided... With online personalities, for instance, it's a matter of avoiding flame wars...If you're more social, then it's about not argueing with friends...Girls always tend to get into little fits, I've noticed over the years...Usually about boys or misinterpreted remarks.

Stereotypes? Unavoidable. If Cat or Yoshi went to a normal school instead of the tech-based one they attended, I'm sure they would be classified as nerds in an instance. Goths are obvious. There's the kids who are always into the latest trends, the preppy kids, the normal students who really just don't fit into a category...It goes on.

High school is actually better than Middle School IMO. Most kids just leave you alone if you don't bother them. If they don't like you they at least have the courtesy to keep it to themselves. The teachers are more interesting too, since they don't always feel the need to censor for the kiddies

Hopefully college isn't crazy. High school was simple because middle school gave you the idea of how to get around.

The teachers can say what they want, but we can't even watch PG-13 movies in highschool. WTF?

And PG movies still require permission slips.

hehe, I remember the year before I started going to my school. I was worried about all the same things as the OP.

Then I got to the school and realized that my High School is full of different kinds of people. I don't know if such diversity (in terms of hobbies and intrests) is unique to my school or if this is common anywhere where there are lots of people, but I didn't have to worry about keeping my own hobbies a secret. There are plenty of people in my school who also like pokemon. In fact I had senior friends that I traded pokemon with. @___@;;

Could just be my abnormal school in NY. D: That would suck.

I remember being worried about high school...that was back before the nsider forums shut down. RIP.

Well...it's really not as bad as it seems...at least mine wasn't. Teachers weren't these devils like they were made to be.
Even here, sitting on my University Campus, things aren't that horrible. I even have a teacher that tells jokes and gives dating tips in the middle of lectueres. and the best part, the jokes are actually funny.
lol

Pokemon wasn't and isn't popular, however.
I did see a kid bring pokemon red to school in high school to play during class, but It's not like they even knew what FEAR was, or anything about EV's.
Just dinking around for no reason, really...not what you'd call a pokemon fan.
