Google and Yahoo!, two major search engines. Both offer image and video searching, and e-mail. So which one do you choose?

Now, Google has several things going for it. It looks nicer (in my opinion, of course), is less ad-infested (Yahoo! has one ad on the front page, Google has zero ), and provides more services, such as whatever Google Earth is, and Internet browser, and an advertising program, among other things (apparently it also owns Picasa). Google also owns the major video sharing site YouTube. GMail seems to be more popular than Yahoo! mail, as well.

Yahoo! also has some upsides. It appears to have all of that junk that you don't need but it's nice to have, such as horoscopes. It was also founded three years earlier, in 1995. Also, if you're into the MSN-style of stuff, then it's heaven to you (I, however, just like things simpler). And, through my on-the-spot research, I noticed that Yahoo! owns the more popular photo sharing site Flickr. Yahoo!'s most popular service, if not the search engine, is its instant messenger, Yahoo! Instant Messanger.

Now they're about even when you compare them, with Google being more well known, but I vote Google.

I prefer Google, and occasionally use Bing, but hate Yahoo. Google Docs is god, the search is good (if not great), and gMail has always been my preferred thing ever .

Google Talk is also a very good instant messenger despite its lower popularity.

Yahoo sucks. In fact, if you put "how do i" in the search then one of the results is "how do i delete my yahoo account" :3

No contest. It's easily Google. Better search engine, faster, Chrome is great, Yahoo! sucks, Google owns Youtube, Google Googles pretty well too.

Also, people say "I'll go Google that" when they want to search something, not "I'll go Yahoo! that". Because the second one sounds stupid.

Yahoo! is my default for everything. Frankly I don't mind Yahoo!, but I stopped using my Yahoo! Mail account after I realized that I had my YouTube account synced to it. ._.

Incidentially, my Yahoo! Mail account is also my Gmail account BECAUSE it's sycned to YouTube. So technically I spontaneously use both.

Google is the bomb. It's so much better in every way... except E-mail. Yahoo! has me there.

To add to this first, people also can say, "Google me baby" and it sounds right. But for someone to say "Yahoo! me baby" which sounds stupid, or "Bing me baby" which might get some little boys and girls in trouble if their parents ever heard them say that due to them saying "BING me".

This pretty much is why I chose Google. Although, I never use Bing nor do I use Yahoo!. I use Yahoo! email occasionally but I have been using my Gmail more frequently.

I used Google for the images and search for things that i want to look up like wikipedia and many forums I go to.

I use Yahoo for the news and give my opinion on them and also comes with Yahoo Answers. Yahoo gets my vote for the best search engine on the Internet with great news updates.
