I am currently on my Dsi typing. My netbook is blown. It got hit very hard and the whole screen is grid-like. If anyone has a solution that doesn't cost too much, I might use it. Thank you!!!

You have two options.

If your notebook is CRT compatible [Old monitors with the [x] number pin cables], plug one in and go for it. I used to monitor my Eee-PC like that. o3o

If your machine isn't CRT compat, or you simply don't have one lying around, you're just going to have to replace the screen. ;3;

Looks like the problem is only your screen. Two options:

  1. Use an external monitor
  2. Use a desktop computer if you have one
Both until you get the money for a new netbook, of course. Or you can go for the DIY option and replace the screen yourself.

Thanks for breaking my post down into simple English, Nissan.

Thank you all for the awesome ideas! It really helped! But there kinda is another problemo. My parents don't know yet so I'm trying to disguise the problem by saying my netbook is super slow so... yeah. So new topic inside of a topic,:
How do I sneak it past my parents?

Thanks a lot!!!

The simple answer is, you don't.

If it's close-to-new, it's probably still under warranty. It's not your fault it cracked. Blame it on a pet or simple wear and tear.

Inform them that it's flawed in some way, and ask if it's still under warranty.

I got it for Christmas, if that matters. It is a.... *checks* it actually doesn't say to be honest. It has a ONE YEAR WARRANTY YAYZ! And the screen isn't cracked... and pets don't come into my room. lolz
Let me say, one corner of it is actually readable, but it is kinda flashy... the screen is gridlike as I said in the first, and the almost complete middle at the bottom has a piece of black. So, if that's a problem, sorry.. D: But thanks a lot!!!

If it's under warranty, you can replace it. D: I'd recommend pulling all of your files off of it [music, pics, ect.], before you exchange it, because you won't see them again.

Music and pics huh? I WANT them off. Too bad I can't even see the screen anymore.

Like we said earlier: external monitor. Hook it up to one to get your files off.

That reminded me of something: when my cousin broke the screen of her laptop, she plugged it into a TV. Useful if you don't have an external monitor.

This only applies if you have an HDMI-out for your notebook, or a CRT-Pin to RCA-jack cable. D: Otherwise, go for a monitor.
