Although I didn't play it the most, I thought Crystal was pretty awesome! It was the first game that had a real improvement over the past pair.

After that, I'd have to say Emerald for the same reason.

(But I didn't like Yellow too much. Although you could get all three starters, the game did bore me a little compared to Red/Blue. And I hope Platinum is awesome, like the videos make it look!)

For me it is a hard choice the Handheld pokemon games were so diffrent it makes it difficult for me to choose.

I started in Red and i agree with scott yellow was pretty boring compared to its counter parts, i really dont have a fav

Silver would be my favorite because it was better than yellow and you could actually see the experience points go up instead of waiting for the pokemon to level up.

Pokemon Colusseum was pretty sweet especially with the battle music when you fight a normal trainer with a shadow pokemon.

Battery die (the battery saves your game data)? Because if it is, it can be easily repaired.

Yes. All you need is a new battery (A CR2025, it is round like a watch battery.), some electrical tape, a small screwdriver, and a small pair of pliers. Follow the directions here http://www.instructables.com/id/How-...mon-goldsilve/ and you should be fine (on step 2, use the pliers to remove the screw, it is easier then using the screwdriver as shown). If you have any questions feel free to ask, I have done this with quite a few GameBoy games. (This also works for dead NES/SNES/N64 batteries).

This is a tough one. I own Gold, Crystal, Diamond, and Pearl (but I borrowed Emerald for half a year from a friend and played that through, and I also borrowed FireRed for a while too).

Crystal is my favorite out of all of them (I just went back and played it this morning as a matter of fact). My gold is dead

RSE had my favorite battle music out of all the games, and Diamond and Pearl are okay. It was cool to play a new generation all over again, but now I wish I hadn't bought both of them.

Of course, I HAVE to get Platinum, because I like a lot of the changes.

GOLD AND SILVER REMAKES FTW!!

I absolutely love Pokémon Gold. For me, I have loved Pokémon since it first came out. I must say, the GameBoy games and the trading cards were poorly put together. DONT GET ME WRONG! I love them! But, the game didn't look like a lot went into it - I do understand the GameBoy had it's limitations - but, there were others out there with far better detail and whatnot. The cards were very plain - but, I love it. Gold came out in COLOR (woo) and the second generation Pokemon weren't too bad! I loved it because it kept many aspects from the Red/Blue Saga [with a brand-new backpack setup (yes!)], but also had a great new storyline. The game kept me peeled and even after I turned it off, I still heard the music in my head (no joke!).

It's safe to say I dreamed Pokemon. I ate Pokemon (no!... you know what I mean). I breathed Pokemon. You get the idea! =]

I see what you're getting at with the "limitations" thing. None of the handheld main-series Pokémon games ever got close to meeting the system's limitations.

And Crystal was just awesome. I wonder where is it... I hope I haven't lost it D:

Yellow. Hardest pokemon game. Catching the Pikachu is annoying and then its even more annoying trying to beat Brock. The others in the main series were a LOT easier to beat, but it kept getting harder to get a full pokedex...

It'll be easier once the Azure Flute is legit and we get the GSC remakes. My friend and I used Action Replays for the events in Diamond.

Yellow was my first game, my favorite PokeMon game, and one of my overall favorite games. It came in a combo pack with a Pikachu-themed bag, an NP strategy guide, and a yellow GameBoy Color. I was six. A year later, when I finally beat Gary (now I know better and call him Blue), my team was my Pikachu, a Charizard, a Venasaur, a Blastoise, a Dugtrio, and a Gengar I got from my cousin. I was tempted to use the legendary birds, but, I won, so no regrets!

Aah. Good times.

Yep. I was actually not really thinking of type balancing when I chose my team, more of the PokeMon that I liked. I wanted to keep the starters on my team and then I caught a Diglett, which I leveled up. Then I traded my Machoke for a Haunter with my cousin.

I still don't believe you that much. And seriously, how did you get a 92% on the purity test? That thing was designed so anything over 90 was borderline impossible. (The original Mario version was about 90% for the threshold, as well.) Be honest; did you cheat?
