Ah yes, the brand new game to the NFS collection, Need For Speed World.

It's now free.

Anyways, I recommended this game.. And I made this thread for discussion. So discuss. o3o

IT'S ONLY FOR PC? Crap. I'm probably gonna have to talk with my dad about it once I get my laptop.

About the game, from what I've seen it looks pretty cool. It seems to have a better pursuit system then the old Hot Pursuit games. I like how they're bringing back the thing about "choose an average car and race with it" from the older NFS games.

Well I guess there's less customization under the hood but the paint and vinyl customization is really elaborate.

The pursuit system is like exactly the same as NFS Most Wanted.

I was just "in" a MP race. I was able to control my car... but I only saw the loading screen.

This is why I don't normally do betas.

I didn't think it was all that great.

Yeah, it just launched, but it has a pitiful list of cars, the customization is less impressive than Carbon, which I didn't think was possible, and I have to pay twenty bucks to keep playing a F2P?

I have a kid on the way. I can't be spending cash on crap like this unless it gives me a good reason. Like an IROC or a Porsche Carerra GT. o3o

They're still improving and more cars are planned, but who knows when we'll get them.

I like the vinyl customization but it doesn't have specific body or performance parts which may be available in the future.

Also. Treat the $20 like you were buying an actual video game. The 10 level trial in the beginning is the free part but if you want to buy it it's only $20, and then you can get better cars and get to level 50 and whatnot. Just sayin' o3o

Unless I see a car that's worth using, hell no. If you remember NFSUII, you could work a beginning car up to par with late-tier vehicles. They dropped that, which made me sad.

Everytime EA tries to "improve" their games, they simply get worse.
