A while ago when I first played Platinum, I noticed something: after standing behind the billboard in Pastoria so I could look like a Croagunk, one came up and entered the great marsh. I was watching TV at the time, so I only caught it out of the corner of my eye, and the sound was off. Despite trying 20 times to repeat this, I have been unsuccessful: has anyone had it happen and no how it will happen again?

Yeah, that happens. I've seen it before. I think it's just an easter egg, and happens completely randomly when you stand behind the billboard.

Yeah, I've had the same thing happen to me. The first time caught me off guard, but it happened two or three more times. It's just random and had no other effects.

I saw it the instant it popped up, I lol'd. Lol'd that moment. Lol'd it good.

It's influenced by the RNG and there is absolutely no way to control the outcomes of whether one will appear or not. It's only an Easter egg in the programming, nothing more.

It happened to me once, but I haven't seen it any other times. It is cute, though. xD

I've had that happen multiple times, it means Croagunk is in the Marsh at that time. I caught one because of that. I think it appeared to me every week.

I also saw the croagunk twice but it doesn't seem to affect the game at all, maybe it's there to keep people who have beat the game, got all pokemon, have a few competative teams and 100+ in each battle facility interested for another 5 minutes.

I actually have seen this only a few time on completely different occasions so I think it's calculated by the RNG.

I think I've seen it a few times, pretty cool in my opinion.

I've only encountered this once in Platinum, and I didn't really care much about it.

It's happened to me a few times. When that croagunk came I thought it was lookers because he has one in stark mountain.

Just to add the billboard with croagunk is a swarm sign. When you see croagunk follow it into The great marsh and the percentage of seeing it increases.

I've seen it once. But never after that. I thought it was really neat. It would be cool if Gamefreak had more easter eggs. I'm thinking something with the Slowpoke in Azelea town would be pretty nice.
