I found many "What's your browser" questions, now this one is your First Web browser.
What is your first Web browser you've ever used in your life?
My first browser is Internet Explorer, and that time I think IE is the best.

Where is AOL? That was almost my first browser, but I've used IE4 a couple times before then.

In the order I used them:
1. Internet Explorer
2. America Online
3. Netscape Navigator (or formerly Communicator)
4. Firefox (an early version, and it wasn't my computer)
5+. I have no idea what happened beyond here.

Microsoft pre-installed Internet Explorer so even if you want to get Firefox, you must click on IE once.
That is Microsoft's unfair monopoly.

32 pages?
PDF?!

OK, I have nothing against the portable document format (PDF) itself. It's Adobe and their terrible Adobe Reader software that makes it bad. At least the Flash software isn't that bad compared to a lot of the terrible content (ads that tell me I won an iPod with an annoying voice) made with it.

It is Internet Explorer monopoly! That's why Internet Explorer is so popular.
I posted this poll on other forums, and it said: Internet Explorer: 5, 100%

It doesn't really matter what your first browser is, though. Just about everyone will respond "The one installed on my first computer with Internet," which will almost always be (in this order) Internet Explorer, AOL, Netscape, or Safari. The only people that can first any of the others is if someone else installed that browser (parents, for instance) and it was set as the default. I would like to congratulate Microsoft, though; they truly knew how to popularize their product!

Yeah, I remember the good ol' 28k modems. When we used dial-up a few years ago, it was even slower, though. The average speed would be anywhere from 800 B/s to 3 KB/s. And, of course, the school network has its down days where it runs about that slow.

Just tested both now and both work fine. Tell her to uninstall and re-install Safari. Or update it.

It turns out she wasn't properly updating Flash. They work now.
