There is also a new male character, but based on the beta art we got earleir this week, Ash is still the star of the show. Best Wishes!? What the heck is up with that name, it sounds more like a low budget 1990s cartoon kids film by Don Bluth (you know, Land Before Time, All Dogs go to Heaven, Anastasia, etc.) than an anime
Shame that Brock is gone, but it's for the better (His character was pretty much dead to us anyways)
It's official, the anime is dead........

I'm not reading more than one post of what you guys said, so I'm probably being redundant but: I'm happy Ash is still here, Brock is gone, and the new girl looks cute (based entirely on the character sketch shown). I'm not upset that Team Rocket is still here and unchanged, but who is the old guy (again, based on the character sketch)?
Well, if they had gotten rid of Satoshi/Ash, I`d be somewhat tempted to quit watching, at least as of now. But from what I can tell, it seems he`ll be staying. I don`t really want Takeshi/Brock to leave now, either, though xD Maybe he`ll make some surprise appearance and go with the group again.
The series (as of Diamond and Pearl) has become much more story driven (though it doesn still have it`s fair share of fillers, but during those fillers, a Pokemon might learn a new move, evolve, or be caught more often), so I`m interested how this goes.
