Explain your thoughts and how you think about Nintendo. (I got inspired from E3 Nintendo) I'm going to talk about my history of Nintendo, you may read if you want.
I started around 1999 (8 years old). My uncle came to visit us and he got me a gift, a brand new Nintendo 64 with Mario Kart 64. I knew like nothing about video games at the time so this was all new to me. After my father hooked up the system I played around with it for a while. I thought that was the coolest thing ever, being able to push buttons and make something on the screen happen. The next day I had to go to school, but when I came back I saw my father playing with it (the last game system he had was an Atari 2600) and he also bought another controller and some extension cords (our living room is kinda large so that got rid of having to have the system on the floor). I played that thing non-stop. Sure during most of my time in elementary school I only had 4 games for it, but that was all I needed. Of course I obviously rented games every now and then to try out some new things (I remember renting Diddy Kong Racing and constantly bugged my parents to buy it for me). Whenever I visited my friend's house I brought my games with me, I still remember owning them in Mario Kart 64. While on the topic of my elementary school friend, I remember he had a SNES with Super Mario Kart. I remember playing that and being like "Wow, this is what Mario Kart used to be like!?" A few months later I got a hold of a GameBoy Color. With it I got it with Pokémon Red and Blue and the thing was always with me when I left the house (except for school obviously). Then a few years later I got a GameBoy Advance and a GameCube a little while after that. Since then I have taken up gaming as my major hobby and have never looked back. Now I sit here with nearly 20 unique systems and a collection of almost 200 games spanning from the Atari 2600 to the Wii and I don't plan on having it stop growing any time soon.

My first game was Pokémon Silver. I loved it, but I didn't have any kind of Game Boy so I had to borrow my sister's. I had played a N64 before that, but I wadn't interested in many of the 4 games. Recently after that I bought a GameCube and a game, which wasn't Nintendo and I'm sure no one has heard of it. That's when I really got into video games. A couple of years later, I got a DS, then a Wii, then a DSi, and now I'm starting to like the older games better and I got an SNES. Weird how all of the systems I have are Nintendo, although I want to get a PS2 at the moment.
Well, I got started with Nintendo on Christmas when I was 7. After opening a few gifts I found a Game Boy Advance and 3 GBA games. Then I went over to my stocking, emptied it out, and found.. Pokemon FireRed. My first Pokemon game. During that summer I remember sitting in a chair in my room or downstairs on the couch for hours upon hours playing FireRed, Anyways, my life went on and I got even more games, and I had almost every Pokemon game they you could until the DS came out. Then I got a DS for Christmas the year it came our along with Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team and I eventually got Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. Then some things changed.
Now that I was in 6th grade I thought Pokemon was a bit childish, so I sold all of my Pokemon games. After going for a while without Pokemon I went to GameStop that summer and bought a GameCube. I also bought a few games for that including Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness because I was feeling an urge to play some Pokemon again.
For Christmas of my 7th grade year my parents bought us a Wii. That has been fun ever since with many Super Mario games included. I also bought Guitar Hero 3 with some of the money that I got from selling my Pokemon games and also got Rock Band 2 the summer after my 8th grade year.
One day in the summer after 8th grade while I was playing RuneScape my friends were talking about Pokemon, and I went along with them because I still knew a lot about it. They eventually convinced me to but Pokemon Platinum and I did. Pokemon FireRed came next when i wanted a new game and then HeartGold just before Easter followed by Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky for Easter. I got Emerald a month or so later.
Nintendo makes all of the games that I actually like. And especially after E3 they are exactly what I like in a videogame and I don't think that it will change soon. As Char said, lots of people might look down on you for not having an Xbox 360 or a PS3, but I will always stay with the Wii and with Nintendo because they are simply the best videogame company out there.

Me and Nintendo? We go waaay back. I can't remember what it was first, a Game Boy (original) or the Super NES. Either way, I was pretty young. Probably about 3 or 4 years of age. I can't exactly remember how I got my GB, but I know how I got the SNES. I got it for Christmas one year. It came bundled with DKC3. I think we got a later release of the console and I believe not to long later, we got an N64. After that, the Gamecube came out. I'm not sure how long it was afterward, but I acquired one pretty soon after launch, like maybe a month or two. And then the Wii came out. I got the last one at my nearest Best Buy on launch date. I was one lucky duck. The only console I haven't really had is an NES.
Now for the Handhelds... I basically went up the ladder, getting them as they came out. The only one I missed was the Micro, because I didn't think it was necessary except just to say that I had one, because I already had the DS Phat. I don't see me getting a DSi XL in the near future unless I win it somehow.
I'm not quite sure where the Virtual Boy fits in, but I've never had one.
Now, for my thoughts about Nintendo. I think they come out with brilliant ideas and franchises, but they had been... lacking until this year. Last year was kind of disappointing, with the biggest news probably being Other M. The year before that, I'm not sure what they had, and if I can't remember, it probably wasn't that good.
I'm looking forward to both classic franchises being revived, such as Donkey Kong Country and console Kirby games, and the 3DS. It has a lot of potential to have some good remakes Like MGS and OoT, but bring the new stuff also. Either way, it's gonna be a long wait for me.
I'm just going to go ahead and do thiiiis.
My first encounter with Nintendo was a Nintendo 64 that came bundled with Banjo-Kazooie. I eventually obtained more N64 games as time passed, and when my parents divorced my dad bought me another one. I played games that left a lasting impression on me, like Goldeneye, LoZ: Majora's Mask, Toy Story 2, Super Smash Bros., and Star Wars: Rogue Squadron.
Eventually I joined the Pokemon craze with my new GameBoy Color and Pokemon Yellow. To go along with it I got Stadium 1 for the N64.
I was a little late into the GameCube era, but once I got it I fell in love with Wind Waker, Melee, and a bunch of other games. Viewtiful Joe is one of my all-time favorite GameCube games.
Whoops, I think I skipped handhelds.
I got my GameBoy Advance for my birthday one year. It came with a shovelware Harry Potter GBA game. Through my GBA, I would eventually encounter a woman named Samus Aran. I didn't know it yet but I would eventually (and obviously) begin to grow a strong interest in the Metroid franchise, playing Metroid Fusion and working my way up from there. The GBA was also where I met the rest of Nintendo's all-star cast: Kirby, Mario, and Captain Falcon became names I recognized along with Pikachu and Link.
Then came the DS. Oh how I love the DS. This incredible handheld would never leave my sight. Eventually I would begin to collect all the models of the DS (which I have successfully done.) Metroid Prime Hunters: First Hunt was an awesome preview to an even more epic game. Two generations of Pokemon, SM64, the Mario and Luigi RPGs, Fire Emblem, and more brought me deeper in touch with Nintendo.
A few years later, Wii asked the world if they would like to play. I accepted. And boy, was that the best decision I made ever. Twilight Princess, although a GC game originally, became one of the best Wii games ever. Red Steel, Secret Rings, Brawl, Super Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart Wii, and even some liscensed games (One Piece: Unlimited Adventure) became some of my favorite games ever.
Now, the craze continues. I've played and beaten all but one Metroid game to date, an avid fan of the Italian plumbers in red and green, catching 'em all, and traveling through the land on horseback to save Hyrule. This year it looks even more promising: Kirby mimics the new abilities that yarn and knitting provide, Daniel Craig replaces Pierce Brosnan as one of the best Bonds ever, Retro picks up where DKC left off, Samus develops some (Team) ninja-like qualities, and Pit's apology at the beginning of the Kid Icarus: Uprising trailer is accepted with sheer glee in anticipation for the Nintendo 3DS.
EDIT: Wow. That was a lotta words!
