I personally like the side-scrolling/platforming games the most.

a sub catory in which you get in more sespicics. like in
1. Mario and the Seven Stars (Mario RPG), only one that is and RPG that i know of
2. Mario Bros., a Classic what else
3. Mario Kart Wii, its inivative and makes it more like you are driving

OH! Now I get it.

Of the RPG games, I like Paper Mario and Paper Mario: TTYD a lot.

Of the platforming games, my favorite would probably be Super Mario World.

Of the driving ones, I don't have a preference, as I haven't really played any of the newer ones enough. (I would like to get Mario Kart DS.)

Yeah and you still need to get the Mario Kart Wii/Mario Kart DS

RPG - Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga and Paper Mario the Thousand Year Door
Side scroller - Super Mario Brothers 3 and Super Mario World
Platformer - Super Mario 64
Kart - Mario Kart 64

You have no reason for them though

MLSS - Good portable RPG with some random funny stuff
PMTTYD - Very nicely made RPG
SMB3/SMW - Classics
Super Mario 64 - Showed how 3D gaming is done
Mario Kart 64 - Back from the time when winning a race ment you had to be good, not just being owned by all the cheating AI with the good items *cough*Mario Kart DS*cough*

So you think that the items have made it easier for people to beat others if they have no skillz

It's not so much the multiplayer, it's just more of when you are doing a Gran Prix and every time you get first place a bunch of blue shells/red shells come to kill you.

Yeah that is a pain in the rear

1. MLSS, one of the coolest GBA games ever, so much fun and also very funny

2. New Super Mario Bros. very fun, unless you are one of those bloody R4 users *Cough, hack* LEVUS*cough*

3. Mario Kart 64, just... just awesome I loved it so much that I have it on GameCube and PS3 as well(don't ask, I have a friend who wired my PS3 to my 64).

I Have not played Mario Kart 64 so im a a loss

RPG: Paper Mario TTYD for being one of the very few non Pokemon RPGs I can stick with

Platformer: Super Mario World for earliest influence

Racing: Mario Kart Wii for the online battle mode

1. PM TTYD. It was imo the best Mario RPG. C'mon, what other RPG game in the Mario series you have a Yoshi as a Party member?
2. Super Mario Bros 3/Super Mario World. Can't really decide. Even not the new Mario games such as NSMB are better than this two classics.
3. Mario Kart Double Dash!!. The best multiplayer gameplay in all the series.

For RPG, I like SMRPG. Geno wins. Always.

For a racing game, I go with Double Dash and MK Wii.

Side Scroller, SMW.

Platformer, SMG. SM64 was great, for it's time.

RPG- Bowser's Inside Story (M&LRPG3), Paper Mario TTYD
Side-Scrolling- Super Mario World, Bros. 3.
Racing- That's too hard, I can't choose, so I'll just say 64, Wii, Cube, Ds, and Snes.
