As we all know, the much anticipated 2010 FIFA World Cup is just around the corner. Almost everyone in the world is hyped up about the event which will take place in various places in South Africa. Keeping that in mind, this thread is dedicated to discuss everything concerning the World Cup, from predicting the winning teams to discussing individual matches and players.

As a start, the 2010 World Cup kicks off tomorrow (June 11th, 2010) with the following matches:

-South Africa vs Mexico (16:00, GMT +2) in Johannesburg.
-Uruguay vs France (20:30, GMT +2) in Cape Town.

Who do you think will win from the two matches? Let's start the discussion!

For the second round, I think France has a high chance of winning (plus I am rooting for them. ) Lloris is a glorious goalie, and France did quite well in the warm-up rounds, aside from their loss to China. I know nothing about Uruguay, so I can not comment on the abilities...

I myself am rooting for both Germany and Mexico, but I don't know much anything about the Mexican team. I am rooting for Germany, mostly.

I used the "Search" feature to see if a thread like this one has been made, but no results were returned, so I assumed it hasn't been done yet.
Anyways, I'm closing this thread because apparently another thread was made on the same topic from before.
