I hate Firewalls, because they block everything.
The most funny thing that Firewalls did is that it blocked anti-virus software's updater itself!
Then some firewalls block Windows' network, Firefox, Web browsers.

Plenty of them myself (Norton!)...I like Live OneCare's firewall. It only asks you when it doesn't know what the software is or if it confirmed dangerous.

AVG is actually not detected by Vista.(Whoa, not detected by Vista arsey firewall? Must be SOME program...)

Zonealarm blocks EVERYTHING. It's own updates, rundll, svchost, internet, halo...

I had Norton, then my provider updated to McAfee. Norton blocked Safari and IE for a day.
