Anyone ever experienced one? I'm not talking about, ring just starts flashing red. I'm talking about like, when you're playing a game it freezes the screen goes green, and then you hear some guy talking in a foreign language.

I have, infact just recently. 4 minutes ago.

The third has lasted months but crashes every so often

LOL. This is my first time, but as I can see you have some pretty bad luck with 360s.

Okay, it happened to me too... but with one difference... I let the system be for a little bit, and it was fine... I'm still kind of confused about it.

My friend had it back in July but he had a warranty so he got a new one last month.

Leave to microsoft to invent a something that always messes up.

They just wanted to be FIRST!!!111!! to release a new system so they rushed the production and didn't fully test for problems.

OooOh the first time I got the red ring was because the video cable thing wasn't plugged in the back all the way. A few months later though my games started freezing after about a minute or less of game play and the ring showed up again each time luckily my 360 was also still under warranty so we sent it to Microsoft, waited some couple months, and got it back fixed with another one of those "free 1 month gold subscription" cards lol. They didn't say what the issue was but apparently the red ring can be also be caused by overheating so try keeping your Xbox out of small areas and off the carpet when playing. I doubt that's the only issue though because the ring lights with up a different number of lights depending on what it thinks the problem is 0.0; and for the scratched disk issue... http://www.llamma.com/xbox360/news/Xbox ... atched.htm (my Xbox scratched one of my disks once too but I can't remember if I had switched the position or not o.o)

Same thing always happens to my N64...

And the only time my 360 has ever shined a red light was the second time I turned it on. Turned it off, left it for a few seconds and turned it back on. Worked fine.

They do it on purpose. I'm on my 3rd because of this. Maybe it's because of intense gaming

One of the main reasons I don't want an Xbox is because of the common Red Ring.

I had a power surge a few days ago. Litterally, all the lights flashed off for a fraction of a second, and the 360 reset. 3 flashin red lights. "Oh crap!" I said. Alas, it's fine.

If your going to get a used 360, make sure you get a Jasper unit, they are the less likely to break down. Although with the 360s I really recommend you get a new one, because stores like GameStop don't thoroughly check over their systems so while they will allow you to exchange it, you may go through like 5 systems before getting a good one.

Mine's used, it's been fine. People complaining have mis-treated theirs or done video game marathons.

Damn! I hated that red ring. Screwed up my Xbox 360. But I never knew you can actually get it fixed, so that warrant thingy expired...

I was on level 40 on Bloody Palace.T_T
