You know how we've got Yellow, Crystal, Emerald and Platinum? What's the 5th Gen one going to be called?

I have no doubt that there will be one, but the name of it is hard to decide on. Pokémon: Grey Version sounds too bland, so I'm sure it won't be that. Pokémon: Color Version or Pokémon: Rainbow Version is just a definite NO... What about Pokémon: Brown Version?

I highly doubt that it will be other than Grey.

From the start I knew it was going to be Gray. It's really obvious, considering they're all neutral colors.

Pokemon Absence, Pokemon Grey, Pokemon Opal.

Absence- Black and White are two opposite ends of the color shade spectrum, this title refers to absence of all color.

Grey- Smack-dab in the middle of the black/white spectrum.

Opal- Uhh... does this mineral give off a gray hue? I don't know. I just pulled something off the top of my head.

I've thought it would be Gray since they were created.

Red and Blue's 3rd game was Yellow, and those are the primary colors. I'm guessing they threw Green in because it's a primary color of light.

As for GSC, RSE, and DPPt, the 3rd ones seem like logical gems to go with the first 2 names.

Why souldn't BW be Gray? :3

Actually... It should be G/S/Pt and D/P/C. Just thought I'd point that out.

I am sure they'll name it Pokemon Grey. If they don't then it better be something creative or else I'm complaining to Game Freak.

Pokemon Gray sounds the most appropriate however Brown shouldn't be ruled out either.

Jokingly, Pokemon Bleach, Pokemon Blend, and Pokemon Racist are also names that should be discussed. ;P

Brown would be for R/B/Y, would it not? :3

No, I don't believe so SK and here is why. Green is much more suitable to be with the R/B/Y versions.

So if anything if the three game versions are B/W/G, what would more suitable with Black and White? Brown. However, Gray seems to be the best one to predict will be with the Black and White versions.

It wouldn't look right for every other version to have three different letters while this one has two of them. B/W/B. Just doesn't look right. ;P

As is evident by the posts in this thread, one major problem with Grey/Gray will be localization - Gray is the spelling in the U.S., Grey everywhere else (ironically, I prefer the former, even though I usually don't care for U.S. spellings). Either way, I think its too generic - White and Black have something of a ring to it.

I would throw my hat in the wring with names that are emotions, largely because it seems logical for the 6th Gen (like Soul and Heart, Love and Hate, or something similar).

Edit: Chrome also sounds like a good nomination.

In my opinion Chrome is perfect. Chrome is a metal that forms very hard steel-gray masses that gleam a silver color.

Example - Power Rangers... Mighty Morphin. For those who never saw it when he or she was younger, just look up the Chrome White Ranger.

But now that brings me to the assumption that maybe there won't be a third modified version of the game. Perhaps there will be just two new versions such as Pokemon Chrome White and Pokemon Coal Black etc...
