Today morning, an idea was suggested to have a Debate Section. Some staff agreed, and some don't, and of course, everyone has his own reason.

The ones who disagree say that it would cause flamewars, which is right. The ones who agree say that we can moderate that section properly.

Anyway, let us have a timed poll. This poll will be closed after three days, and we all will work according to the result. Just add your vote to this poll and clarify the reason of your agreement/disagreement.


To me, I think it is good to have this section, as debates are quite interesting, and many topics are available. Although SPAM and wars might occur, but I believe that strict moderating can solve the problem.

The reason I like this forum so much is users generally aren't treated like children, and I think that should continue: therefor, I am very much in support of such a section. If people can't act like adults, they simply shouldn't participate.

I'm against it just because I hate flame wars.

Just keep the topics forbidden by the rules off of there.

Let's open a debate section and move this thread there. It'll be a debate on whether or not we should have a debate section.
