Today I went out and bought Blue Dragon Plus for the Nintendo DS. I have never owned a Blue Dragon game and I would be happy to have one for my collection. The gaming is very unique.
A 2D look is used for the spriting and bosses, but when a special event is happening a 3D cut scene is shown. The cut scenes so far are pretty amazing, some of them are very short, but contain action and aftermath of a boss battle.
The Battle system is not as good as most people would think. It is a very odd and somewhat complex system. If you are new to the game series like me you will need a little help, but give things a shot on your own and find it out. You need to click a character and choose one of the attacks or medicine on the bottom of the touch screen. To make sure the attack hits you need to be next to the enemy.
Touch screen is how the game is played. The game is a complete touch screen use, but could be improved.
The story is said to take place a year after Nene's death. It shows a memory cut scene when Zola swallows his soul then throws it far, but it is soon encountered.
Well, I just got up to after the first boss so I am not far and I am taking a break, this is one game I will try and pay some attention to. I recommend it for great cut scene, interesting story plot and the use of characters and attacks.
