Wow. I never knew that catching Pokemon was so complicated. I just throw an Ultra Ball and pray. If that doesn't work, I yell at the Pokemon through the DS mic and try again.

II usually turn the sound off and look away.. That's how I got Uxie, Azelf, and Ho-Oh.

This. It helped me catch the 100+ turn Heatran in a Poké Ball, the 4-turn Giratina in a Dusk Ball, and the 30-50-something turn Dialga in a Great Ball.

Yeah, I've worked with the numbers for a past project and they are pretty simple. The growth rate is where the real math is. Everything else is just arithmetic.

If I looked at it long enough and read everything carefully I could understand it, however just looking quickly at all those numbers and symbols, regardless of how hard it is, makes my brain hurt.

Does anyone know that it took Cat 48 minutes to catch the Platinum Mystery Gift Darkrai, where I caught it within four minutes? He was pissed at me.

Once you break it down that algebra isn't hard at all. I would like to see the whole thing though so I can write it down so I KNOW when I'll catch a Pokemon.

I hit it twice with a flamethrower, threw an ultra ball and TA DA. My sister came unprepared with 17 ultra balls, it took her one month of trying 'til she got it.
