Today was the district level of the Solo and Ensemble Festival. Basically, you have to prepare up to three pieces to the best of your ability and perform them for the judge. Later, you go pick up your score sheet(s) and see if you get to go to the state level by looking at your final grade. If it's a one (I), you go to State. Anything else, (II, III, IV, V, VI) well, too bad.

I played the following (For those who care):
-Gigue from the Second Cello Suite, by Bach
-Duet for Two Eyeglasses Obligato-Allegro, by Beethoven (Ironically (I think that's the word), both my duet partner and i wear glasses)

Happy is me because I got I got a one on each of them.

Happier is me because I got them on Grade VI music (which is the hardest music there is)

Confused is you because I got a one on grade six music.

Good for you. I was in S&E recently too, though I don't think we had a grade VI piece. We did get a I though. I go to state next week.
