1. Toribash
Toribash is a martial arts-based ragdoll physics game developed originally by Hampus Soderstrum in Sweden (Who has now left the development, I think, but still helps out) that is for Mac, Windows, and Linux. Huge community with online, and a fairly addicting game. HOWEVER, it's extremely hard to get the hang of.
It's also moddable, with a crapload of mods preinstalled. If you win a match in multiplayer, you get Toricredits(TC) to spend on things like colors for your Tori (What they call the avatar thingies). You can also buy TC, but I'd only reccommend that if you have the spare money.
It used to be pay-to-play, but it's now free. Not sure how long that'll last, though. Might be forever, might not.
Just being in online matches gets you QI, win or not, and if you get enough QI you advance in belt(Sort of like leveling up, except there are no stats, so every tori is the same. Making skill being the true deciding factor. Nice)
System(s): Windows, Mac, Linux(Always a previous version, though), Will come to Wii in a few years, maybe sooner.

Learning Curve: Medium to high, depending on the user.
2. Call of Duty 5: World at War
Yet another game in the Call of Duty series, taking place in World War II, post-12/7
In this game, you play as 3 different characters.
Private Miller: Okinawa
Private Dimitri Petrenko: Russia and Germany
Petty Officer Locke: Japanese waters/airspace
Gameplay is fairly similar to other games in the genre.
However, unlike other FPSs, this is a "Realistic FPS". What that basically means is no health bar. Instead of a health bar, you get a red ring around the edges of the screen that gets darker as you get injured, and you heal automatically.
I have not been able to test multiplayer, though, for reasons I cannot explain.
Systems: PC, PS3, 360, Wii, Windows Mobile, DS, PS2.

Learning curve: Not much if you're used to FPS gameplay.
P.S.: Watch the trees. Just to warn you.
3. Metro 2033
Set in the metro of post apocalyptic Moscow, you play as a young man named Artyom.
You are tasked to traverse from your home station to a station called Polis to request for help after your station is attacked by "The Dark Ones".
During your travels, you:
1) Sneak through bandit, nazi, and communist facilities.
2) Fight off hordes of giant mutant rats.
3) Explore the post-apocalyptic ruins of Moscow with the help of your handy dandy gasmask.
4) Get scared crapless.
5) Get completely brainf***ed as "The Dark Ones" enter your mind to dissuade you from killing them.
This game is 70% action, 20% stealth, 10% puzzle, 100% awesome.
Systems: PC, XBox 360
Site: http://www.metro2033game.com/us/age_gate
Video (Trailer): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P6pAvMqQm3k
Learning curve: Be prepared to die quite a few times, or be in hopeless situations with nothing but a .44 pistol. And that was just on Normal.
Awesome, even more so seeing how I plan to do Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (a.k.a. 6). I've been trying to install WaW for a long time, but every time it phails. Too bad, because it seems like a really good, atmospheric game, which is what I like the most about FPSes.
Next might be Super Crazy Guitar Maniac Delux 3.
If I do a flash game, I can be sure that everyone will be able to play it.
Also, cat, is it possible to give someone moderation over a single thread? I may need to merge some of my posts since I'll need to doublepost a lot to bump this.
If not, I'll just make mag do it :3

Lately I've been playing games that are just too huge to review. So, I'll have to downsize a bit on my gaming uberness.
