Yoshi made me get off the 'What Game Are You Into' thread and use this, hehe.

So yeah, use this thread to talk about Need For Speed. I suppose Jared and I were having a little debate about it.

If you haven't played NFS and like racing, then I highly recommend you try it some time.

I started playing Need For Speed when I was 3 or 4, it was probably my first real videogame. I eventually moved on to NFSU and NFSU2 (NFSU = Need For Speed Underground) and then to NFSMW (Need For Speed: Most Wanted), which I am currently playing right now, and NFSC (Need For Speed: Carbon).

Need For Speed has added many new games since and is still making them, I believe.

And just to give you something to discuss, which NFS game do you like/play the most?

I've played the original Need For Speed, III (Hot Pursuit, one of the earliest PC games I remember playing), High Stakes, Porsche Unleashed, and Most Wanted. Hot Pursuit is probably my favorite. I like the modded vehicles that people make that you can download and use in the game (one of them was even Mario in his kart!).

Fan-made vehicles can be downloaded here (obviously this is for PC versions): Link

OMG, Porsche Unleashed and Hot Pursuit! I forgot about those.

Porsche was pretty epic, you can never go wrong when racing Porches.

Thanks for the link, by the way.

Cops are so exhilarating. <3

Nfscars confuses me. I just can't find out how to navigate or anything...

Anyways I've played Hot Pursuit 2, Underground, Underground 2, Most Wanted, and Carbon.

To me, the best was U2. It had an open world (First time), an interesting N2O system, and a crapload of customization.

Underground 1 was just too easy to beat. Even on hard races.

Most Wanted improved the physics and included one shop for all customization. This was much better than driving around the entire freakin map...

Carbon's autosculpt and canyon duel were fun, plus its RTS elements. Other than that, it wasn't too stellar...

Ahh yes, the N2O systems. I'd say NFSMW has the best one, I don't want to avoid an accident o do a powerslide just go get NOS.

I'd like to see a game with autosculpt, open world, and cops. Unless there is one that I don't know about.

My friend told me that 'Need For Speed Online' (or something like that) is going to be made in the near future, and it will include three cities: Palmont (NFSC, right?), Rockport (NFSMW), and possibly Bayview (NFSU2). And the reason it's called online is because there's other people in the city with you (and you obviously connect online or something xD). There's also cops, it should be interesting.

I totally love Most Wanted, but when I was a little kid I thought the third and fourth games were the coolest things ever.

^ Yeah, I figured out that Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit was my first videogame ever, and it's the 3rd one ever released.

I wish we still had it.

All you have to do is push the arrow keys.

Also, I recently found my NFS3:HP and it works. :3 But, it has bad graphics and it's not as fun to play anymore, because there's not much to do. Lol.

I used to, too. Just try something easy like Mario Kart and move up.
