This, or AC/DC: Iron Man 2?

...

*orders both*

I figure I might as well use it as a reference for my LP (not that I'll be relying on it and only it, just for like, secrets and stuff)

Why get that when I can just use bulbapedia with triple the info?

That and I think it only covers Johto.

This brings me back to the days when I used to get the strategy guide for almost every game I owned; it was mostly due to convincing my parents I needed it. Bulbapedia honestly has rendered them obsolete.

^ Honestly, a book is always better than the internet.

I've used a Pokemon G/S/C guide and an Animal Crossing: Wild World guide that both help much more than an internet site could, it's much easier to find what you need.

I use Bulbapedia for my Pokemon needs, but man was that Wild World guide useful! The master list for items and neighbors was a great help, plus the fish and bug catching guides.

I agree that a well-documented book is more convenient than and generally more correct than the Internet, but in this case the Internet will almost always be superior. For instance, Bulbapedia can give Pokémon stat totals (which no guide I have lists), egg moves (of which complete lists are unlikely to be found in a guide), and information on things like formulas and EVs. It also has the advantage of being able to be updated after release.

I do understand the value of guides as collectors' items, though.

Can anyone post some pages of this guide when he/she buys it?

I really like to see what is inside this guide.

You see people, this is yet another thing that irks me:
Here in U.A.E, we're unable to get extra products, like magazines, figurines, and guides, for the games we purchase. I mean, come on Nintendo. You're supposed to be one of the leading - if not the leading - corporation in the gaming industry. You should be having international shipping by now.
No, I'm not whining or anything, but I'd love to get all those extra things which make my experience the more special.

Man, that's not fair. Nintendo would surely benefit from releasing extra products internationally, it just seems mean not to. Plus you don't get special event Pokemon from Gamestop or Toys R' Us either.

We should... Buy 2 guides, and send one to Shadow!

I don't know. The guides are fun little things to have and look at for both reference and entertainment, but I can't help but feel like I already know what to expect with the game and know what I need to know already that is relevant.

Serebii has always been reliable enough for me. I don't need much get through the Pokemon games outside of the internet.
