The website is http://www.w3schools.com/ , they offer free certification for what they offer and they have a special "widget" that allows you to try out the HTML for yourself and it will show you what it will look like or if you did it right.

Its worth noting W3Schools is only a good resource for initially learning a language - going in depth with most of the languages it has tutorials on should be done elsewhere. Just the same, the site can be a good resource for HTML, and I have personally used it many times.
