It's inevitable that the Pokémon animé, movies as well as games have taught you many helpful lessons/morals, and helped you acquire new 'skills' and abilities that are directly applicable in real life. Therefore, what do you think has Pokémon taught you?

As for me, Pokémon, as a whole, taught me a lot of things that I appreciate today:

What the Pokémon animé/movies have taught me:
-True friends always stay with you, especially in your hard times.
-It's always great of you to help people who are in need of it.
-Never underestimate anyone's abilities.
-Never lose hope, even in the hardest of times.
-Whatever happens, remain loyal to those who care about you.

What the Pokémon games have taught me:
-Some new vocabulary that I frequently use at school. Examples include agility, insomnia, evasiveness, ominous, etc.
-The ability to predict people's actions and accordingly respond to them.
-The ability to analyze different aspects in a deep way.
-Patience
-Always think before doing anything, because everything has its own consequences.

We already had something like this but I've been unable to find it.

Honestly, the Pokemon games improved my vocabulary a lot. It also taught me patience and how to think well before doing anything. I am sure that it taught me a lot although they aren't in my mind right now, however, the most important thing that Pokemon gave me is friends. In real life, I am not liked by most of the people I know. I am hated, but Pokemon allowed me to know more friends that they are now my best friends! It taught me how to gain friends.

Although I wouldn't credit the game's to having brought me any of my friends, they did help improve my vocab considerably (e.g. "benevolent"). They also are the foundation for much of my programming interests, as the technology behind the games has always intrigued me.

Pokemon has taught me that whenever a megalomaniacal society tries to blow up the world you can always rely on a 10 year old kid to kick ass and take names.

This could actually be incredibely symbolic for something. For instance, how no matter how great something is in one aspect, it always has its weaknesses. That no one is truly perfect, and a sense of balance must always be strived for. That teamwork and companionship drives people to achieve goals, and that nobody is powerful without others.

Or it could just be to make all the starters equal. Your choice.

The anime' taught me about true friendship and the challenges friendship can bring.
The games taught me about great strategy and sometimes big things can come in small packages, and that sometimes if you try hard, you can really succeed. But mainly, patience with the grinding and whatnot. Even though I was like born with like a bunch of patience, at least that's what I was told.

Probably to look extra harder at the normality of things, because you just might not know what's there.

Pokemon has taught me new vocabulary words, a lot more about strategy, and to never give up.

And it's also taught me a bit more of how to take care of a pet, since you heal any KO'd Pokemon at a Pokemon Center or by using Revives. That could sort of be like treating a hungry dog by feeding it dog food.

Pokémon taught me that, no matter what, Nintendo makes the best games.

And that it's okay to capture animals as long as you
1) Do it with a ball,
2) Give it a stupid name,
3) Teach it to use its powers to cause other ones to faint.

Pokémon taught me not to buy things until I really needed it. And that, with enough money, you could throw a healing potion kegger, which, in real life, would equate to a Mountain Dew binging LAN party.

Apart from the usual, teamwork, loyalty, friendship, trust is important, Pokemon has also taught me that 10 year olds can bring an entire terrorist group down to rubble.

We should really send some random kid after the Taliban on his 10th birthday. Who knows, maybe he'll manage to destroy the group.
