Well, I almost had it won on PBR, when they woke up, and successfully ko'd both of my pokemon with fissure. To make matters worse, the first fissure was blocked by endure on my side, but they quick clawed another fissure, and took out that last hp.

Sometimes I wonder about the PRNG (Pseudo Random Number Generator) on pokemon games. I know it can be exploited, but is it fair to begin with? I had them cornered, and they were ready to die, and three fissures in a row theoretically has a 2.7% chance of hitting, with equally equal leveled pokemon (Which they were). No lock on type moves had been used, nothing.

Has anyone else had this kind of problem?

Not me, but still a good example of what you're talking about.

Gotta love those one-hit KO moves. To think they use to encourage you to use them. I believe there use to be a TM for Horn Drill even in R/B/Y.

As far as I'm concerned it's all just pot luck. OH-KO moves may have low accuracy, but there's still a chance that they can hit multiple times in a row. It's like catching Arceus with an ordinary Pokéball while it's on full health with no status effects. Possible, but unlikely.

This has happened to me tons of times in the Battle Tower. The only real defense is using Substitue, in my experience.

Another thing I noticed, not about the PRNG, was that a togekiss knew the move tri-attack. The AI played Gale of darkness.
