Which do you like better: Mario console games or the portables?

I like console ones better but the portables are awesome too.

I like the consoles one better. Many of the portables ones are remakes (Super Mario Advance series, Super Mario 64 DS) or portable versions of console counter-parts (Mario Golf, Mario Kart, Mario Party) but still good non the less.

I much prefer the main-series games to the spin-offs, and almost all of them have been console games. A few, such as SMW and SM64, have been given portable re-releases, though. The Mario series doesn't have much to offer in terms of original handheld content.

Console OWNS.

I think sidescrolling Mario games are better suited to handhelds. Don't ask me why, it's just my taste.

I like portable everything. Mario is no exception. Having said that, Galaxy or something similar would be near impossible to pull off on the DS(i), although that would be really freaking incredible.

I agree. I prefer console games because they are more developed and have more details within the gameplay often. I like them overall better.

Console, they have enugh storage to fit in great things, where as a Handheld might not be able to fit much in.

With no doubt, console Mario games, namely Super Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart Wii and New Super Mario Bros. Wii, are better by far than portable ones, in my opinion.

The consoles, the only game I beileve that wasn't also like a in the console was Super Mario land games.

I prefer portable because while they were challenging, you could play them more often.
