I'm sure you've all had this experience. You go to the pokemart, pick up 50 or so ultra balls, and get ready for an epic and long struggle with a low catch rate legendary pokemon... and catch it without any trouble.

I just did today. I've been playing through ruby and had gotten to the final battle with Groudon. My Pokemon were 5 levels lower than it. Here's what the battle consisted of:
I sent out Tropius. He brought groudon down a little with a couple of magical leafs, then died to fire blast. I sent out Snorunt, and 2 Oddishes, all of which fell before doing anything. I sent out another pokemon and threw one ultra ball. It went back and forth three times, and bam! I got a Groudon!

It was so anticlimatic it wasn't even anticlimatic. I've actually had quite a few of these experiences recently, but this was by far the easiest. I'd like to know if you've had anything similar.

The Darkrai event that let you go to Newmoon island, I got there sent out my Garchomp used flamethrower once, in red, threw a GREAT ball one...two...three.....click . I made a video of it to and my battery of my camera died 5 seconds after I was done! The ironic part is my sister went there with only 17 ultra balls... it took her TWO MONTHS to catch Darkrai because she kept running out of ultra balls.

I ewnt to catch Palkia thinking that it is going to be ahrd. Just threw a Great Ball without hiting and caught it. Pretty simple.

I know this isn't a battle, but I was prepared for 2 weeks of SRing for a shiny Shaymin... And y'know they say third time's the charm? Bang on. Masterballs ftw.

Actually same thing happened to me for both Dialga AND Palkia except I threw a ultra ball instead on a great ball.

In Platinum, when I encountered Cresselia, I threw an Ultra Ball, and it was simply caught with no hard time, no battling, and without the usage of a single move.

Groudon in Emerald: After it got its first usage of Rest in (full HP, sleeping), I threw a regular Poké Ball and caught it.

And we all know about the Suicune:

I caught Palkia and Dialga in only 4 Dusk Balls!

Darkrai: Roserade used magical leaf! Roserade used grasswhistle! Threw an ultra ball. SUCCESS!
Dialga: Infernape used close combat! Threw an ultra ball! Capture failed. Threw an ultra ball! SUCCESS!

On Diamond, I caught :dialga: on the first turn with a quick ball.
Yes really.
I wish I had recorded it

Yeah, I hear you, I think that the catch rate should be lowered to 1, instead of 3/30/45, because they need to be ridiculously hard to catch, or at least should be, or something.

I made quick work of Giratina in both Diamond and Platinum. No more than three dusk balls used for each one and all I did was weaken both with a Staraptor.

The wifi darkrai and shaymin, were easy to catch but from what I heard they had a very high capture rate, far lower than any other legend. Other than that this has happened to me before, but I can't thing of a good example >.<.

It's great fighting Giratina with Staraptor in Diamond and Pearl. Giratina's moves are:
Earthpower: Useless
Shadow Force: Useless
Heal Block: Close to Useless
Slash: Only attack, and often doesn't hit in fog.
Leading to a fairly easy battle to sit and wait through. Also fun is battling Mewtwo or Arceus with Sableye, as neither can do ANYTHING against him.

The easiest Legendary Battle I ever had was with Dialga in Diamond, I caught it after only a couple of hits on it. And to show just how easy it was, just to have some fun, I had 1 normal Pokeball in my inventory, and I threw it on the first turn, with NO damage, and it got 3 shakes XD.

The easiest was catching Shamin. I threw a Master Ball at it.

I always use my Master Ball on the legendary mascot of each game. So, I didn't have a Master Ball after I caught Giratina in Platinum. Having said that, catching Dialga and Palkia was really easy. I caught them in about two or three turns. Also, the Platinum Mystery Gift Darkrai was caught within a matter of four minutes or so (and that includes time it took to boot up the game and such).

Not my experience, but my friend threw an ultra at a sleeping, full- health Kyogre and caught it. To this day, I' m still jealous.
