It's that time of year again. The days where everyone is happy, people are giving to the poor, stores scam you out of everything you own, and children scream like retarded banshees to force their parents to buy a toy for them that they'll only use for 5 minutes and forget about it.

I like christmas, with the lights and trees... and presents. It's all the extra stuff I hate.

The Music: They're only the same ten songs sung by different people in different ways. Doesn't anyone know the meaning of "Originality"? Now, I know there are a few people who actually do make their own, but that's just a few.

Also, they take over the best stations. I don't want to hear Stevie Nicks singing white christmas on heavy metal stations. GIVE ME MY IRON MAIDEN \m/

The movies: Unrealistic much? And cliche. Generally, they go along these lines:
Someone meets a person who's having a tough time in life, and tries to help them by marrying them.

There are others, but I forget.

The stores: As I said in the preamble:

Quote:

'Nuff said.

I'll post more later. Has hungry now.

The only thing I particularly despise is the music, which overuses jingle bells and consists of only a handful of songs. And of course every public place ever considers it their duty to blast it everywhere 24/7.

There really need to be more original Christmas songs.

I also hate when parents keep hampering on you to do your Christmas shopping halfway through October. (But I got it done early this year, so no more whining!)

But other than that, I absolutely love the month of December. School comes to a temporary close, the Christmas cheer itself is enjoyable, and it's a great time to spend with family. And you gotta love the time off to play more video games (or develop a site).

Haha, Jeff Dunham.

I think this is starting to get a bit off track, though.

I hate it when non-Christians flip out into a rage when you say "Merry Christmas" rather then "Happy Holidays". They just need to live with it.

That's basically like saying you hate it when Christians celebrate Halloween.

Not any specific religion, no. Paganism is basically anything non-Christian. Which is why you shouldn't be celebrating halloween

However, in case you haven't noticed, Halloween was stripped of its religion a long time ago. Only in Mexico where they do La Dia De Los Muertos is "Halloween" anything like it's supposed to be.

Example:

The past: A day of mourning for deceased friends and family, dressing as scary beings such as witches to scare away bad spirits.

Today: Dress as Tinkerbell/Power Rangers and get candy.

Who's to say some of the religion hasn't been stripped from Christmas? Even families that aren't Christian like to partake in the holiday cheer.

This. Actually, this is how it goes. Something has happened to Santa. Now this person has to be Santa. But he doesn't want to be Santa. He meets a girl that is already engaged, but they fall in love, get married, he becomes Santa, and they ride of in the sleigh.

Secret Santas with people you don't know in the slightest. You can't get them anything good or meaningful, since you barely know them. You usually have a set budget, so you can;t get them anything really good anyway. So the only thing you can do is buy a gift card or a cheap gift they'll probably never use. It depresses me.
