I really want to learn Japanese - I know it's complicateds, but I'd like to give it a go - so how should I learn?
Unfortunately, one of the best options is unavailable - There's no possible way for me to get Japanese classes.
Suggestions?

Get those lesson books-on-CD (and listen on the go) or software like Rosetta Stone. Also pick up a workbook or something and work your way through it while doing the lessons.

Also, this site gives you some basic introduction in a daily e-mail newsletter. They say they only give you six, but I received 29 lessons for free.

FAIL.

I'll heed your advice, holidays are coming up, so I may start then.

I did the free six-day thing. If you don't get more than six by the end of December (and you sign up now), let me know. I can forward you the rest of the e-mails.
