With the slow summer, I decided it might be worthwhile to implement a Smash Bros. for 3DS/Wii U tournament. Now, I'm not selecting a date yet, but I'm thinking either late August or very early September. For now, I want to gather information on which versions of the game that folks own. That way, I can figure out how this will work and design the brackets to minimize troubles of people having to fight that own different versions of the game. So please, do vote on the poll and post any comments or questions you may have. I have enabled viewing poll answers, so you can also see who has what.

Edit: If your game ownership will change within a month, such as a birthday or giving away/selling one version, please note (ASAP) which games you will own by August 22. Obviously, please make mention of that by posting your situation. Also, if you unexpectedly change status, post ASAP so I can change your vote.

I have 3DS version, though it's worth mentioning that I haven't played it since last October. I'll join if you need an extra player to fill space, I guess.

Hey if i ever get the game and u guys do another one of these for the 3ds, will amiibo leveled characters be allowed? Cause i recently bought a Toon Link amiibo to use on smash sometime in the future.

I may have enough money to buy a 3DS copy by the end of the summer but im not sure yet

I'm glad to see quite a few people are interested in this tournament. I'll let this thread go for a little bit longer before I make a thread to figure out a starting date (late August at the earliest).

I never ended up grabbing a copy, so I have to pass. Hopefully I can participate in a furture event
