There was an interview with Junichi Masuda and Shigeru Ohmori recently. Among other things, it would appear that they, uh, de-confirmed the existence of the Battle Frontier.

I still don't quite believe it based on some certain structures existing in the game, but nontheless.

So what people been sayin about a DLC for it wont happen? Thats to bad tho, i was hoping they would put it the games somehow.

BF kinda made Emerald stand out from R&S beside graphical improvements. And it was fun. It gave reason to spend hours grinding a team

Interestingly, there is mention of the Pokémon World Tournament by a guy who speaks in Japanese in-game. I'll need to find the source of that, though.

Anyway, the Emerald Battle Frontier was a mix of really cool battling ideas and awful gimmicks that have thankfully not seen the light of day since then. I dunno, the way he worded it almost makes it sound like being rushed to completion, but I don't want to jump to conclusions.

I even seen a picture of Red in the game (Showing his up close in battle face) It looked very good, but i wasnt 100% sure if it was real or not.

That excuse for no Battle Frontier is baloney! If the Delta Episode is made for "more experience players that want a challenge" which is post game and the Battle Maison is post game, why not make the BF instead?! -_- No common sense.

A small note: upon reading the article again, I noticed he only mentioned the Battle Frontier not being included in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire - nothing about the likely future games of Gen 6. I think there's a decent chance that "coming soon" means "coming in a future game," not "coming as DLC for this game."
