*facepalm* 7.8. Really? REALLY?

Apparently OR/AS has "too much water" and "too much HM usage". This is the same IGN that gave the original R/S a 9.5. The same R/S that has the same water routes. To borrow from the Angry Video Game Nerd....What where they thinking?!?

They either did that deliberately to get on peoples' nerves, or the entire review staff is new and have never played a Pokémon game before.

Knowing IGN, I'm putting my money on the former.

Better question, why would anyone go off of IGN to begin with?

I may agree that the water routes are annoying but all of IGN's reviews are full of a censored word I won't use.

IGN has been kinda dumb as of late. They give bad ratings to good games, and are always the last ones to learn from stuff. (I see them on Twitter talking about a game thats a month old)

I usually tend to ignore IGN ratings and focus on Famitsu instead because they seem more fair.

If anyone's curious, Famitsu rated ORAS a 37/40

As a fire type lover, I agree with IGN's critique of too much water. Totally kidding. This IGN rating was almost as dumb as their previous one of HGSS.

Much better.

As for bad reviews, check out this nut who thinks story is the most important element in Smash Bros.:

Wait, Smash has a story at all? o-o That's like saying Solitaire needs a better story.

I never go to IGN for game reviews because their reasoning to take off points is ridiculous.
Going off topic, but if you want to find a fair review for a Sonic game, you have a better chance finding a needle in the haystack. There's always at least 2 groups: People who love the game and people who hated the game. And there are very few people who would say it's an okay game.
