I guess this is . . . kind of . . . fan fiction?
There's probably like thirty of these things floating around the Internet, but I got it in my head to go write a visual novel engine today. I don't have a story in mind but if you do, hit me up in thread, in PM, whatever.
Free of charge, obviously. Demo and a screenshot attached below.
Options of stuff you can edit includes premise, font, positioning of text, that annoying little arrow, the background pictures, add background music, changing the fade transitions, probably animation and pretty much everything else.
Made with GameMaker: Studio. If you want the code I'll attach that too, though I doubt anyone does.
