CoroCoro's latest issue has shown a number of new things in regards to the fast approaching Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire remakes.

New Demo
It has been said that in next month's issue of CoroCoro, there is to be a serial code for a demo for ORAS. Supposedly, you start off with one of Grovyle, Combusken, or Marshtomp, and the demo concludes by receiving a Mega Evolution. Not much information besides that is known at this time.

New Mega Evolutions
Now, what everyone's been waiting for! New Mega Evolutions! These are ones that were likely to be guessed from as early on as E3 this year, or even from ORAS's first reveal, but regardless, here they are.

The first of the three is Mega Gallade, which will have been evolved from Wally's Ralts from the beginning of the game. It retains its Psychic/Fighting type and gains the ability Inner Focus.

The second is Mega Sharpedo, who retains its old Water/Dark typing and receives the ability Strong Jaw, previously exclusive to the Tyrunt family line. It is said that all of its boosts receive an increase. It is owned by Team Aqua's leader, Archie.

The third is Mega Camerupt, who retains its old Fire/Ground typing and receives the ability Sheer Force. Its Speed supposedly decreases upon Mega Evolution, but its other stats are boosted drastically. It is owned by Team Magma's leader, Maxie.

Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon
The two "Primal Regressions" of Kyogre and Groudon have new abilities to replace Drizzle and Drought, respectively. Primal Kyogre's new ability is called Primordial Sea while Primal Groudon's new ability is called Desolate Land. These two abilities have the ability to summon strong rain and strong sunlight respectively. Strong rain blocks the use of Fire-type moves while also rendering the weather unchangeable, while strong sunlight blocks the use of Water-type moves while also rendering the weather unchangeable. They both get new moves as well; Primal Kyogre gains the move Origin Pulse and Primal Groudon gains the move Precipice Blade.

I don't like how Mega Camrupt looks like a teepee version of Magcargo. Other than that, I'm liking these new megas. I like how mega Gallade gets a blue cape.

Lots of people are guessing "strong rain" and "strong sun" are going to be the return of permaweather to X and Y. Competitively that's stupid, because they just finished nerfing the weather, but I guess it makes logical sense. Going off the names, I'm guessing they have more exaggerated effects of the regular weathers, like a 2X modifier on Fire attacks instead of just 1.5X, and maybe some other things like residual damage on all Grass types.

Also, one of my favorite Sinnoh Pokémon gets a Mega. Iron Fist and increased Speed, plz. Although from the picture I have no idea how in the world those fists could possibly be iron but whatever.

Inner Focus for Gallade, when they could have given it literally given it ANYTHING ELSE? ლ(ಠ益ಠლ

Also, I notice it says "all" of Sharpedo's stats increase, as do Camerupt's, except for Speed. So they decided to buff some HP, after all?

Maybe its HP gets a base increase when the new games come out.

Wow, those weather effects are brutal. Here's hoping only Groudon and Kyogre get them.

I'd be excited for this, but I sense that this is the beginning of a trend of Game Freak re-buffing things they'd emphatically nerfed in this generation. What next, Dragon type going to get some shiny new super awesome type matchup in Gen 7, or perhaps Steel or Baton Pass users?

I just realized that with the strong sunlight effect, Primal Groudon's weakness to Water isn't even consistent, and thus its only consistent weakness is to Ground.

Well, Primal Groudon is shaping up to be pretty scary.

Those weather effects are ridiculously good. Mega Gallade! Inner Focus ain't too bad, but could've been something better. Camerupt will probably remain well in Trick Room, especially in doubles with a partner that has Storm Drain and Sharpedo is gonna be monster with Speed Boost later packed with Stab/Strong Jaw Crunch and stuff.
