The Mega Evolutions of Groudon and Kyogre are actually Atom Groudon and Atom Kyogre.


Diancie gets a Mega, as do Sceptile and Swampert. Sceptile becomes Grass/Dragon and gains the ability Lightning Rod. Swampert gains the ability Swift Swim.


Brendan and May recieve redesigns, and the Mega Ring is now a Mega Bangle.


Team Magma and Aqua also recieve redesigns.

In more seriousness, I'd like to see the reasoning behind Lightningrod as its ability. It's not particularly useful considering it's 4x resistant to it, but I guess it works in doubles? Also, those Team Magma/Aqua redesigns look amazing. And the protagonist redesigns look pretty nice. Interested to see Mega Diancie/Sceptile/Swampert stats soon.

To be fair, Rhyhorn, Rhydon and Rhyperior can also have the Lightningrod ability, and not only are they immune to Electric anyway but they have no special attacks or special moves to speak of.

At least those three sort of-kind of look like a grounding rod, I guess the tail or something?

I knew that those were megas for Groudon and Kyorge. Cause why would u make them look the same but extra lineings and stuff. Strange that #718 (Or #719) gets a mega too? (Sorry cant it right now)

Awesome, Mega Sceptile! It should deserve a dual Mega like Charizard. One for SP ATK and another for ATK! Lightning Rod, huh. That's kind of... Weird.

Is it just me, or did everyone decide to go on the tight pants bandwagon with these designs? I liked Archie's baggy pants.
