I have had a fanfiction idea bouncing around in my head for a while. What do you guys think?

So the Fae Council is made up of prominent Fairy pokémon and strives to preserve the natural world against the human civilization. It was historically led by Thenidiel, a Gardevoir possessing a stone holding great power gifted by the Creator (Gardevoirite). She has worked to keep peace with the humans despite their destruction of many Fairies' lands.

A newcomer, a Mawile named Eris, has recently gained support among the Council. She promotes the idea that they must fight fire with fire, and meet the humans in battle ere the Fairies are driven to extinction. Her support is largely due to her possession of a stone of power as well (Mawilite).

It would be a little political at first but probably lead to war later on. Thoughts?

I could also do it without explicitly using pokémon: drawing inspiration from Fairy-types but writing of them as actual Fairies in a world not unlike ours.
