This thread can be used as a way for people to express their rage at Nintendo(for me, mainly NoA rather than the company in general) for all the stupid stuff they can do. For example: The idiotic management for the Virtual Console! Speaking of which, that reminds me of a certain game that was supposed to be released by the end of the year.. hmm...

Well, this might seem a little bad as this would be one of my first posts and it'll just show off that I'm some sort of Negative-Nancy but... lemme just make it clear that I love Nintendo with all my heart. Few on this world make more My Body is Ready references than I do. I think this is what true love is, anyways, loving someone despite all their mistakes. So... oh gosh... *deep breath*
I am going to ramble about many things. The first thing that comes to my mind is the Wii U. I believe that the Wii U is... not good. It seems to me to be another blunt copy at what the Wii pulled off. Nintendo is like "oh gosh the Wii did well so let's do that same thing again herpdaderp!" It comes out early with hardware that doesn't stand a chance against it's other two next (well now they're current gen) competitors and pretty much the only thing that's worth owning are a couple of Nintendo exclusives. Now mind me, I pay a lot more attention (which is not a lot honestly) at this generation than the last, so I actually have little knowledge of how the Wii was but still. Heck, for it's hardware I'd think it''s pretty expensive. If it wasn't for that tablet it'd be a hundred dollars less and if not, it'd be as powerful as the Xbox One!
How is it like the Wii, you ask? Well, the Wii only has a handful of good games... now don't get me wrong, Smash Bros Brawl (despite a lot of people disliking it), Skyward Sword, Twilight Princess (despite the Gamecube port), the two Mario Galaxies... uh... No More Heroes (despite the X360 and PS3 port) and... I can't think of any more. BUT I'M SURE THERE ARE SOME MORE GAMES FOR THAT THING! Please do tell me more, I really need to enhance my Wii library.
Anyway the point is that, generally, the Wii's must have games were all only Nintendo exclusives. Third Party support on it was garbage for the most part. The Wii U seems to be following in the same footsteps, perhaps a bit better. For example, I feel a little sad that the only game Wii U owners were anticipating for quite a bit of 2013 was a Wind Waker... enhanced port.
To change it up a little, now at this what truly upsets me is that Nintendo... doesn't see this, I guess? At least, Reggie doesn't. Like... Reggie was in no position to say that. Like the article says, Nintendo isn't dishing out any games so of course people want more. I'm not saying he's wrong though, I do think he has a point and that he's right but that's a topic for another time. So this very paragraph contributes to what the thread wanted me to do, say something stupid that Nintendo did! Well here's one... Reggie being in no position to say that. A little bit like a fat guy telling someone else that he/she's fat. The fat guy was in no position to say that, right? Get the picture?
Let's continue this "yer in no position to say that Nintendy!" stuff. Back to the Wii U (I am simply awful at writing essays, I never did good in English class), Remember how Nintendo is always going like "herp we don't care about processing power we just care about making fun vidyagaems." Once again, on some kind of philosophical level, Nintendo is absolutely right. Graphics don't matter, gameplay does! We're playing a game after all, not watching a movie. But Nintendo is in no position to say that. The PS4 and the Xbox One can craft experiences that couldn't be possible on the Wii. The PS4, for example can have more A.I. on the screen, more players in an online match, more complex game mechanics while looking prettier at the same time. Now forgive me, I don't know much about this techno stuff but I assume that the reasons why more power=good are obvious. Why couldn't Nintendo have BOTH the good graphics and good gameplay at the same time? The same thing happened with the Wii, the Wii can't handle Skyrim or Mass Effect or Halo or Killzone or whatever. Sure, maybe the Wii U can, but then again that's like saying "Oh, the Wii can handle PS2 and XBOX games!" Oh. That's not saying much, now is it? What I'm trying to say is that more power can lead to better games. The Wii U isn't gonna be able to handle PS4 and Xbox One-tier games... don't you wish that the next Zelda could be as pretty/better looking as, I dunno, Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes?
Continuing on, what does Nintendo have against online multiplayer? Here's a bit where I'm gonna be bashing on the Nintendo fanboys a bit because I just honestly cannot comprehend this. So Nintendo doesn't wanna do online multiplayer. This is just an excuse. "Oh, think of the children!" You wanna fix the problem? Put no voice chat in the game-- or EVEN BETTER, put more of a focus on parental controls, dang it. And gosh, look at the comments! Why are people seemingly okay with this? It's like, all of a sudden, "gosh, online multiplayer is bad, I didn't need it anyways." I bet you that if Nintendo started focusing on online multiplayer, these same people would be praising Nintendo and eating it up. "Online is great, praise to you Nintendo." they'll say. I am almost certain. Of course, NOT all Nintendo fans are like this, but you get the point.
Remember that jerk who said that Nintendo fanboys are dumb enough to buy a Nintendo-labeled cardboard? It's comments and reactions like those posted above that make me think he's right. Some Nintendo fans just simply eat anything Nintendo coughs up. Please try to remember people, CRITICISM IS GOOD! If it weren't for criticism, we wouldn't have free demos, we wouldn't have eShop sales, Flareon having Flare Blitz in X/Y, etc! Also this is another thing, stop being dumb Nintendo and start adding online to more of your games.
So that's really my biggest problem with Nintendo. They're always like "oh, we're not part of the competition, we do what we want!". That's not good. Okay, I might be being an entitled gamer here, but it's not good for us. It's good for the consumer that the marketers are having competition (remember when the PS4 was 100 bucks less than the Xbox One? That's why competition is good) but since Nintendo is having this mindset that they're just that guy in the corner who does whatever the heck they want. This is kinda what I'm talking about. Like, Nintendo's gimmicks aren't bad... I do think that the 3DS didn't need 3D but the Wii U's tablet is really cool. But it's just, Nintendo is so focused on this idea that they need new, creative ideas and they forget that sometimes when sometimes doing what everyone else does is a good thing! What's so bad about high processing power? What's so bad about online multiplayer? What's so bad about DLC?
And about that, one thing Nintendo finally started doing was DLC. But gosh darn, Nintendo DLC is expensive DLC! Have you seen those NSMB 2 levels, or the Fire Emblem ones? Jeez Nintendo, you need to lower that dang price of yours. And by DLC this isn't what people meant. They wanted like, Ocarina of Time's long lost temples, like the Wind and the Ice temples! If Nintendo couldn't do it before retail release, why can't they do it as DLC? This is the kind of DLC people want... not some more overpriced Mario levels...
Also this is what everyone says but I'm just gonna say that Nintendo needs to chill with the Mario spin offs and start making stuff like Metroid and F-Zero. We got Pikmin, that's a start! Now do more, Reggie. Yes, Reggie, gamers want more because you don't give them enough in the first place.
Also for a note... I don't get this Nintendo Zone thing. Why can't they just put all of Nintendo Zone's features online? You except me to go to a Starbucks just for some 3DS features? *snaps fingers* No way, homeboy!
Anyway I guess I'm done. Maybe I'm missing some things but this is all I can think of for now. Not that anyone was gonna read this whole thing anyways.
