Nintendo just released a new title to the Nintendo eShop on Wii U titled "NES Remix" for $15, where you can perform a series of strange challenges involving classic NES titles.

The Super Mario with Shaders thing looks kind of cool, but not sure if it's something I'd spend $15 on.

I already own pretty much all of these games one way or another, and hate two of them (the ones that I saw were sports. Screw NES sport games.) But I might soften up on it later on. That challenge where the platforms go invisible in Super Mario Bros.? And LINK in Donkey Kong? Yeah, that caught my interest.

Remember, the idea isn't playing the original games; it's solely on the challenges you have to perform with each game.

I could do a lot of these challenges on my own time without the fancy shading they add to some backgrounds. I'm not sure if a challenge pack is worth $15. I doubt there'll be a cyber sale anytime soon so I'll look into it more.
