Starting yesterday, I've been going to the local comic store with my friends in our university Pokemon club to play some TCG. We all decided to put down about $20 each for 5 booster packs (they sell'em for $4 a pack, so...nice), so I figured I'd go ahead and keep a record of my pull results on this thread. This may or may not be a habit I myself will begin doing every Thursday, although I'm not sure about next Thursday, I might be saving money for other purposes. $20, as I've found, is not a huge price to pay when there's each pack has a chance of containing a card worth double or triple the amount of the pack's price.
And then you get the one card that's worth more than twice the amount you payed for all 5 packs.
NOTE: Cards are organized by traits and listed in card # order Week 1 (All cards pulled come from set 113 unless otherwise specified)
Radiant Collection Cards [Set RC25] (These cards are originally from a Japanese set designed for girls, but they were thrown in usually 2 per pack in this set. Quite a few are not very powerful, but kinda cute looking)

...Yeah, I feel pretty good about this pull. As far as power goes itself, I've yet to really gauge what I want around and what's just not worth having, but the Reshiram card just makes me happy. It's not that powerful of a card, but since it's a secret card, it's worth significantly more.
And no, I will not be hoarding rare cards. I'm really bad at collecting, so a card like Reshiram is not collectible to me. It's money, and I shall treat it as such.

Just be careful with it. You were incredibly lucky. Typically, you won't even get a single EX or secret card in a batch of five packs, let alone three.
Duly noted. I'm ecstatic about this pull, but I went through 2 packs of worthless cards before getting to the good stuff, so I'm honestly not expecting to make any money on any batch I pull.
And even if I do lose money, it's $20. I don't see myself spending more than about that much per week, so it's not like I'm throwing all my money down the drain.
On a bit of a high of getting a $50 card on my first batch of pulls, I decided to treat myself to my net profit's worth of booster packs (oh good god the cycle has begun), but this time I went to my local Target and picked up the Fennekin collector's pin set. This included one booster pack from Boundaries Crossed, Plasma Freeze, and Plasma Storm each. I also got the Fennekin starter pack (I have a Fennekin coin. Immediately worth) which came with a bunch of...meh...Gen VI Pokemon. The Legendary Treasures pack...not so much...

The secret is buy buy buy unfortunately. I've bought lots of TCG packs and sets in the past, and got quite a few lucky pulls as a result, but so many more unlucky ones. Not counting the ones in my collection [which consist mostly of foils and very rare pulls] I have 1100 commons, 525 uncommons, 109 rares and 90 foil/ultra rares [3 of those are FAs].

I'm not into the TCG, but those cards are smexy looking. I haven't collected cards since Gen 1. Anyways, congrats! Lol, what else is there to say? Nice fishing!
