Today Tokyo beat Istanbul and Madrid's bids for the 2020 Olympics marking the second time the Olympics will be hosted in Tokyo.

I'm really happy about this since I am an anime fan so of course I love the country.

I think I'd like to go visit Japan for my second time that year! It's the perfect timing and everything. How exciting!

Well all I have got to really say is that this will be the only Olympic opening ceremony I'd be interested in watching. Since video games and anime are an actual part of the pop culture there it seems, I would expect something to influence their shows for the opener in this regard. Like... a giant Pikachu? Mario? So many interesting possibilities for sure!

I have a reason to watch the Olympics in 2020... WRESTLING HAS BEEN SAVED IN THE OLYMPICS! You don't know how happy I was when it was restored back into the Olympics. Should've never left.

I never pay much attention to the Olympics, so I don't really have much of an opinion about it being held in Tokyo.

I'm pretty excited about the 2020 Olympics. I'd love to go to those Olympics. I heard the country was also working on getting extremely fast WiFi by the time that rolls around, so that's definitely exciting. Also, what LugiaDialga said makes a lot of sense. I definitely can't wait to see what the opening ceremony will be like there. x3
