What was your first Animal Crossing game, not the oldest one you've played, but the first one you played?

New Leaf!! I've wanted to play since City Folk came out (they sent me a Wii message) and so I've been thinking about it. But this time I actually had the money to go out and get it with a little bit of special persuasion.

I don't see the point of this thread, the games haven't even changed a lot. :/

The first one I played was City Folk.

My first game was City Folk; it was around the time we first heard that a nearby library was lending video games as well as books, and we'd gone to see what ones they had. City Folk was one of the first few we borrowed, and it was one we all enjoyed. It was in January, so there weren't very many bugs or fish and it was a little hard to get started.
Anyway, about a month after we returned it, my brother decided to buy the actual game and playing it became almost a part of the daily routine. Once a few months had passed and more bugs and fish were coming out, it was a little easier to pay off all the loans and do some other things. Even when me and my siblings started to get bored with playing every day, my Mom would get on at least one of our profiles a day to help keep the town in order, and I think she enjoyed it just as much as any of us did. If only there had been five houses instead of four...

My first game was Wild World. Me and a couple other friends in 5th grade were playing it once it came out. I've played every single AC game after that, but I still haven't played the GCN version.

GameCube version (technically I THINK I played WW first, but the GCN version was the first one I actually got and enjoyed fully).

The GCN version. My brother and I had a ton of fun with that game, and I played fairly regularly until Wild World came out. Going back to replay it always brings back good memories, and nostalgia goggles aside I always thought that it had the most charm out of the Animal Crossing games. It also features some pretty great concepts and mechanics which I wish would return, such as the ability to ask villagers for jobs, the acre system, islanders, and Wisp.

Admittedly, there were a good number of flaws which needed fixing, but I still find the GCN version to be my favorite.

Strictly speaking, Wild World.

For something that I've truly played, though, New Leaf.

I had first played Wild World.

I mean, I had acquired the Gamecube Animal Crossing first, but my brother fell/tripped on it's disc along with my copy of Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles. ><
I got both games again after a long while though- but I still had played Wild World first.
Overrun by weeds by now.
