The Japan Expo has revealed a new Steel/Ghost Pokémon known as "Honedge" in English, "Hitotsuki" in Japan, and "Monorpale" in France. It resembles a possessed sword, with what appears to be a ghostly hand emerging from an ornamental extension of the hilt. It is also able to unsheathe itself (via said "hand") during battle. Its sword-like appearance and human-like limb are referenced in its name, with "Hito" meaning "Person", and "Tsuki" meaning to thrust, lunge, or stab. Pictures of it in battle against a Golem may be seen below:

Additionally, the official Pokémon Japanese Youtube Channel has revealed another trailer for Pokémon X and Y, viewable below:

The trailer highlights the content revealed at the E3 Developer Roundtable, specifically the ability to choose the appearance (hair colour, skin tone), of your protagonist, the four friends present in the main character's "group", Sky Battles, Horde Battles, and Pokémon-Amie.

The trailer also concludes by showcasing a new, X/Y-Themed Blue Nintendo 3DS XL, to be available on release day (October 12) all over Japan, alongside a special gold edition version to be available only in Pokémon Centers. They will each cost ¥22800, and come installed with Pokémon X or Y on their 4GB memory card. Both systems may be viewed below:

Ohhh I actually like this new sword Pokémon. Steel/Ghost makes a unique typing and I really like swords/blades, so I might end up using this one on my team. (I just think it looks better while it's sheathed)

I like how we get to hear the wild pokemon and trainer battle music but I was hoping the music would have better quality by this point.

Hm, the sword likely won't join my favorites list, but that light brown 3DS XL looks awesome.

English name and new trailer were revealed earlier today!

The Sword Pokémon's English name is Honedge (Hone + edge)

Ghost-types need some variety. There are far too many pure Ghosts out there. We need more dual-types. Ghost/Steel (as long as some decent stats go with it) will be a generous addition to Ghost-types in competitive play.

I like it but I probably won't use it.

I love the typing of the new sword, and because of it's sword appearance... I'm expecting a big attack stat. Hopefully this guy will be viable competitively, or else I won't like him. The design of it is just so odd, doesn't look really Pokemon like to me. That's just my opinion though, and it may change... We'll see.
