Hey everyone, it's been a while since we've had our last tournament. Since a good chunk of the Summer is over (for me at least), I've assumed that there wouldn't be enough time for people to make a VGC team- or any other team that required extensive breeding or EV training. Instead however, I believe a Little Cup tournament would be for the best. Making LC teams are considerably easier to make because: your Pokémon only need to be level 5, no EV training is required, and IVs are unimportant when a Pokémon is only level 5. In other words, everyone has a fair shot of winning- even those who aren't competitive battlers.

With that in mind- I hope this encourages people to participate. Now I'll get into the rules.

Rules

1. Unlike past tournaments, these battles will be 6 vs. 6 Single battles. When on wifi, choose the Free Battle option with the Wonder Launcher off.
2. All of your Pokémon must be level 5 or lower. Anyone using level 6 or above Pokémon will be disqualified from the tournament.
3. All Pokémon must be in their lowest stage to participate. For example, people must use Happiny instead of Chansey because it's the lowest stage. Likewise, all Pokémon that participate MUST be able to evolve. In order words- Pokémon who do not evolve can't participate. (examples are Spiritomb, Sigilyph, and Farfetch'd). I can't stress how important this rule is.
4. Sleep Clause: Only 1 Pokémon on the opposing team can be put to sleep at a time.
5. Item Clause: You cannot put 2 of the same item on your Pokémon (except for leftovers)
6. Self-KO and OHKO Clause- Moves like Sheer Cold and Fissure are banned and Pokémon. If there is 1 Pokémon left on both sides, and if there is a Pokémon who use the move Explosion or Selfdestruct, the one using the move loses.
7. Evasion Clause: Double Team or any move that raises your evasion is not allowed. (this includes the move Acupressure)
8. Fixed damage moves like Sonicboom and Dragon Rage are NOT ALLOWED.
9. Hax items are not allowed: Items that require luck in order to activate can't be used. Examples include: Quick Claw, King's Rock, Razor Claw, and Scope Lens.

I'm not sure when I'll be able to go on, but I just chose the first three cause they seem reasonable

I made a mistake, I am not avaliable on the poll option: "July 28th to August 3rd".

I might be able to do this I feel like not-training. So the first one seems too early. 28th-3rd I'll be in Vegas without Wifi (and I don't want to spend my time doing what I always do ) Last week I'll be occupied with band camp. The logical thing for me is the 21st-27th.

I might actually not be here in the July 21st-27th time period, but I'm not entirely sure about that. But I should actually be free for the other time periods.

If its bw2 I might be able too haven't beaten it yet.

Also, did you forget to add the evasion clause or was it consciously left out? Double Team is a real pain in the butt, so it would be nice to see that clause implemented.

The only one of those weeks that I am available is the 14th to the 20th, but I am not positive I would be able to do this tournament though. It does look like it should be an interesting tournament to join in.

Oh boy I remember getting so close to winning the last little cup I'm so in.

Especially now that Gligar is banned who is the reason why I lost the last one.

By the current standings of the poll, the LC tournament will take place from July 14th to the 20th unless there are going to be a bunch of new votes between now and tomorrow.

Oh no, I just realized that's the week of my Band Camp. Unless I can join in at the dead of the night you'll have to count me out (Even though this isn't a real sign up sheet.

Alright guys, the poll closed today and I'm happy to announce that the VR Little Cup Tournament will take place July 14th - July 20th . This tournament will be going on for the whole week, so it's okay if you're unable to make it during one or two days that week.

I'll be making a Sign-Up thread shortly. I'm expecting whoever voted for this specific week will end up participating.

Oh, and as for the prize, it's a secret! Muahaha ;3

So, if we can't boost evasion, can we have moves that lower the opponent's accuracy like Sand-attack? I remember that being legal in other competitive play, but I just wanted to be sure.

I've already have a team set up and mostly ready to go.

Speaking of competitive play, there's the third kind of rules - official rules - where the only things that are banned are what's stuck on each game's list of banned Pokémon and bugged moves.

Though I'm not gonna use it, is a FEAR Rattata allowed? (With the Quick Attack and the yeah.)

This is really turning out to be a different take on competitive play, and I think it's turning out well so far. Those nights on Serebii checking base stats is really coming in handy for planning the team Half my team done, and I shouldn't need any items from Gear Station, so I'm pretty excited to see what happens ^^

TEAM COMPLETE. But now I have to wait a couple of days before I get to show it off, which is lame. :<

Just a reminder that the VR Little Cup begins tomorrow.

I'll be making the brackets as well as putting up a results thread as well. Make sure to have your team ready by tomorrow. There will be no specific time when it will start. If you have any conflicts during the week or conflicts during battles, be sure to notify either me or Ditto.

**If you find that someone broke the rules, I highly suggest that you save the battle video and upload it to the Battle Video station, then send me the battle video number so that you have solid proof that he/she cheated.**

For those who don't know how to upload Battle Videos, here's an explanation: You go into the Pokémon Center and head upstairs to the right-most receptionist as if you're going onto the GTS. When she gives you a list of options, you select Battle Videos and you will be taken to the Battle Videos database. Once there, you can upload your battle video and they will give you a number. Be sure to write the number down! Once you've done that, all you need to do is send me the number.

It's almost Friday (I won't be here all of Saturday. Bad week to be here) and Kazam/Phantom haven't battled yet. Will this tournament see some extenze time so I have the chance to battle them if they don't by Friday night?

We haven't battled cause Wi-Fi is a jerk.
