So I came across this picture on the internet (I can't find it but I remember seeing it) that had the picture of the male character from X and Y walking diagonally on Tumblr. It then had a comment or whatever saying "since Kalos is based off France, I wonder if you'll be able to run from trainers". I don't get what that has to do with France so could someone clarify this for me please?

The French are just known for being complete cowards.

It's basic French history because they've lost many wars and surrendered to the Germans in both World Wars without putting up much fighting.
