What is the best computer to get for a college student? I've heard the Macintosh is all the rage, but I'm personally a big fan of IBM compatibles running Microsoft DOS.

My Commodore 64 has been great to me. You get 64K of memory which is plenty for everyday tasks such as word processing and gaming.
