With the fourth season officially confirmed, it's time to start speculating...even though the third season isn't over yet.

My prediction:

There will be ponies in it.

Here's a list of what I think is gonna happen:

MLP will take another story arc from a popular Tumblr and use it in an episode Whoops they already did that to askmlcblobs
A new villain will show up for two, maybe three frames of screentime before being defeated.
Chrysalis will return, perhaps with a fleshed-out backstory on the Changelings other than "oh, they eat love"
Popular background ponies will get a day in the limelight, similar to 22 Short Films About Springfield
"All of the ponies are guys now and also Spike is a girl" episode
Hasbro gets the rights to G1 ponies back and they're all recreated in G4's art style. Name changes for some of the ponies, obviously, but other than that they're the same.
The mane six's families come to visit, and Applejack has to explain why her family is missing two key members.
Twilight learns a spell that allows her to visit the dreams of her friends, and of course everything goes wrong once she gets to Pinkie.
The mane six enter a contest to win one million bits, and they all explain what they would do with the money. Once they realize that they've won as a group, however, they start to bicker with each other over how much everyone will get. Rarity doesn't care, because she's the element of generosity.

Hmm, I think I have an idea how the season will start. I'm not sure how they'll do it, but I get the feeling we may get a serial of sorts over several episodes where we get to follow Twilight along as she learns to fly.

If she immediately knows how to fly in the first episode, I will be disappointed.

Oh, I forgot to mention this before, but Discord is practically confirmed to have a song in Season 4 (and if not Season 4, then in Season 5). Both Ingram and DeLancie accidentally spilled the beans that he's already recorded a song for Friendship is Magic at the Unicon...and heck, they did it at almost the exact same time in their separate panels.

It was announced Monday season 4 won't start until Winter.

I look at it this way, we'll be playing X and Y for a whole month until the season comes out.

Over at San Diego Comic Con, they gave a 5.5 minute long storyboard sneak peak from four episodes of the upcoming season.

This is what happens when you keep replacing your writers for a show by the way. :/

I kind of gained more respect for the show from watching earlier episodes, but that's the problem the newer episodes aren't as good because the older better writers have left.

That was the most random batch of previews I've seen.

I like the Powerpuff Girls nod in the superhero clip. Was the name "Kickflank Ponies" rejected by the network again? And the Apple Family song was pretty catchy, too. Now I'm gonna be thinking a lot about why Pinkie was singing along with them. That's why I hate sneak peeks... Then there's that 2 Dark 2 Edgy 2 Serious last clip.

It's not enough to judge anything yet, but this show is normally very enjoyable. I'm sure this season will turn out just as well as the others (though probably better. Alicorns make EVERYTHING better.)

For those of you who haven't heard, season 4 will be starting Saturday November 23rd.

Well, a little over a month and a half left. Anything new or hopeful?

There hasn't been much talk of the show on this side of the world. I think we're just... waiting.

That's odd. I know before season 3 that people were going crazy with speculations while Hasbro folks were leaking the little things that they could.

It's because the fandom has already reached passed the maximum point there's no one left to join the fandom.

In the process fans (like me) loose interest over time.

Hm, perhaps that's it. I'll definitely still be watching the season 4 episodes, but there hasn't been anything to keep me going over the summer other than possibly rewatching all the existing episodes or looking at all the fan media (which is starting to look rather similar). I wish they'd have some age-neutral video games or something.

You know what people of a show fandom do between seasons? They wait. What else is there to do, really? If you're one of those insane cultists you could write fanfiction or make fanart and stuff like that, but other than that you just do elsewhat. That's why I have one "obsession" for every category of entertainment.
