We'll just have to wait until 2015, we have to either get RS Remakes or a game where the Weather trio and other legendaries from HGSS will be catchable.

What if we're never getting RS remakes because they made Ruby 2 and Sapphire 2? That might want to be considered too.

The pattern so far isn't broken in a sense. Remakes have occurred parallel to the main release in the storyline's time setting. Since BW occurs after GSC/DPPt, it could not have occurred during RBY/RSE which are three years before that.
