I've got an image I want to make my avatar, but apparently it's to many KBs. Is there any way to shrink the image so it will work?

What are it's dimensions? I think the max is 120x120.
What filetype is it?

I think it's 270 Kb. It's a photo, I don't know how big it is.

You're going to need to resize it, something you can easily do with Paint. (I can't exactly lead you through it now, though, because I'm on Windows 7, which has a version of Paint that looks way different.)

I don't have paint, but I have nearly every adobe product. Can you do it with any of those?

Open it in Photoshop. I think it's called the Image menu or something, find "Scale image" or something like that. Set the unit to pixels and type 120 in whichever box has the larger number. Lemme know when you get that far.
