Just earlier I saw a banner ad for the Street Fighter 3DS game: Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition. And that got me thinking. When does the name of something cross the line of ridiculousness?
Phones are actually a good example of this, where you get things like the [phone] II S 4G Touch. Okay, maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration, but the point still stands.
So, VR, what do YOU think is too much?
South Park's episode "The Return of the Fellowship of the Ring to the Two Towers" is probably parodying long movie titles as well as the LotR franchise and movie-rental stores. Borat's full title, "Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan" borderlines on the absurd. Another movie, which was a comedic re-dubbing of 1968 horror classic "Night of the Living Dead" was titled "Night of the Day of the Dawn of the Son of the Bride of the Return of the Revenge of the Terror of the Attack of the Evil, Mutant, Alien, Flesh Eating, Hellbound, Zombified Living Dead Part 2: In Shocking 2-D."
Addtionally, in the Half-Life series, Gordon Freeman published a paper titled "Observation of Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen Entanglement on Supraquantum Structures by Induction Through Nonlinear Transuranic Crystal of Extremely Long Wavelength (ELW) Pulse from Mode-Locked Source Array."
1 – Pingouin7This picture seems appropriate.

Also, the japanese name of that one Pokemon movie with Manaphy.
Pocket Monsters Advanced Generation the Movie: The Pokémon Ranger and the Prince of the Sea: Manaphy.
3 – JDxImpetus, Music, DragoniteEvery single time I see a title with two or more colons, I cringe.
(Be glad that the GBA port of Yoshi's Island didn't keep the original "Super Mario World 2" moniker, or you'd have Super Mario Advance 3: Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island.)
2 – TurtwigX, WobbachompStreet Fighter has gotten this treatment pretty badly. Isn't there a new version of SFIV coming out that the devs made strictly based on fan criticism to balance out characters?
*looks it up real quick*
Oh, looks like they stuck with naming it Ultra Street Fighter IV. It used to be Super Arcade Ultra Street Figher IV. Not even gonna touch SFII. Aside from this, you've got stuff like "Complete Editions" that aren't really in the main title, but are a separate title.
Edit: Bumped. :3
